Privacy Policy
1. Scope and who we are
Revv Technologies LLC ("REVV," "we," "us," or "our") provides a software platform for independent California smog check stations. This policy covers revvai.co, customer forms, customer accounts, and business accounts.
For information a station enters or manages about its own customers, the station determines its business purposes and REVV generally processes the information to provide the platform. When REVV collects information for its own accounts, security, product operation, or communications, REVV determines those purposes. Stations are independent businesses with their own privacy responsibilities.
2. Notice at collection
Depending on how you use REVV, we collect the following categories of information:
- Identifiers and contact details: name, email, telephone number, postal address, account ID, IP address, and device or browser information.
- Account and business information: login credentials, role, station name and address, Automotive Repair Dealer number, and station relationships.
- Customer and vehicle records: vehicle make, model, year, type, license plate, VIN when supplied, service history, appointment information, inspection result, and notes.
- Transaction information: price, discount, payment method, invoice, and expense records. REVV does not currently collect full payment-card numbers through the platform.
- Communications and choices: messages, language, referral source, SMS and email choices, consent time and version, IP address, user agent, and opt-out records.
- Signature: a customer signature used to document inspection authorization.
- Internet activity: authentication/session information, security logs, requested pages, and clicks on contact, direction, or review links recorded within REVV.
We use these categories to provide accounts and station services; manage appointments, inspections, invoices, coupons, and communications; document consent; secure and troubleshoot the platform; support users; comply with law; and create deidentified or aggregated business insights. We retain each category only as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes, contractual commitments, legal obligations, disputes, security, and backup cycles. Consent and opt-out evidence may be retained for at least four years after the relevant communication or withdrawal.
Sale and targeted advertising: REVV does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use personal information for targeted advertising.
3. Sources and purposes
We receive information directly from customers and business users, from participating stations, and automatically from our hosting, authentication, and security systems.
We use it to:
- create and secure accounts and authorize access;
- connect a customer with the station the customer selected;
- manage appointments, inspection records, estimates, invoices, coupons, and station operations;
- send service messages or marketing only according to the choices recorded for that recipient;
- prevent abuse, investigate incidents, debug, and improve reliability;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce agreements; and
- produce deidentified or aggregated statistics that are not reasonably capable of being associated with a person.
4. When we disclose information
- The selected station: customer and vehicle information is made available to the independent station selected by the customer.
- Service providers: Supabase provides database, storage, and authentication services; our deployment provider serves the application; and MailerSend transmits email and SMS. They process information to provide contracted services.
- A partner requested by you: we may send necessary details to an automotive service partner only when you ask us to arrange that connection.
- Legal and safety recipients: we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with valid legal process, protect rights or safety, detect fraud, or respond to an emergency.
- Business transaction recipients: information may transfer as part of a financing, merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not disclose customer lists to unrelated third parties for their own direct marketing.
5. SMS and email
Service and marketing choices are separate and unchecked by default. If you affirmatively opt in, the form identifies the station and REVV as the senders, describes the message category and frequency, and states that message and data rates may apply. Marketing consent is not a condition of purchase.
- Reply STOP to an SMS to revoke SMS consent and HELP for help.
- Use the unsubscribe method in a promotional email or contact us to stop promotional email.
- You may use any other reasonable method to tell the identified sender to stop. We will honor valid opt-out requests as required by law.
6. Cookies, local storage, and tracking
REVV currently uses cookies only for authentication, session continuity, and security. The business interface also uses browser local storage to remember limited interface preferences. We do not currently use advertising cookies, pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. A consent banner is therefore not displayed. Details are in our Cookie Notice.
California Do Not Track disclosure
REVV does not track people over time across unaffiliated websites for targeted advertising, and the current application does not load third-party advertising content that does so. Because there is no sale or cross-context behavioral advertising to opt out of, browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change current site behavior. If our practices change, we will update this disclosure and honor legally required opt-out preference signals.
7. Retention and security
Retention depends on the record, the station relationship, operational need, legal and accounting requirements, dispute periods, consent evidence, and backup schedules. We delete or deidentify information when it is no longer reasonably necessary. Stations may be required to retain service records independently under automotive or other laws.
We use access controls, row-level database policies, restricted storage, authentication, and encryption in transit. No system is completely secure. Please do not put sensitive information into free-text notes unless it is necessary for the requested service.
8. Your privacy choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information, withdraw a communication choice, or appeal a station's handling of a request by emailing support@revvai.co with the subject "Privacy Request." We may verify your identity and may retain information where an exception or legal obligation applies. If REVV holds the information only for a station, we may route the request to that station.
California
The California Consumer Privacy Act applies only to businesses meeting statutory thresholds and to certain related entities. REVV currently does not represent that it meets those thresholds. If the CCPA applies to a request or to a customer station, applicable California rights may include access, deletion, correction, portability, limits on certain sensitive-information uses, opt-out of sale or sharing, and non-discrimination. REVV does not sell or share personal information as those terms are used for cross-context behavioral advertising, so a "Do Not Sell or Share" link is not currently required for our practices.
9. Children and external services
REVV is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information.
Links to Google Maps, review sites, station sites, and other services open those providers' sites. Their privacy policies apply after you choose to follow a link. REVV does not automatically embed Google Maps on station pages.
10. Changes and contact
We will post changes here, update the date above, and provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
